Poms is one of the dynamic sports programs here at Northwood High School. The Poms team is comprised of hardworking and talented students ranging from grades 9th-12th. The poms perform at varsity home football games and varisty girls & boys basketball games. Poms is considered a year-round sport, beginning with auditions is late May, the team's season does not conclude until Late February. The Poms are spirit ambassadors who proudly represent their school during games, Pep Rally and school sponsored events. The team is often seen performing with Northwood's amazing drumline. The two groups participate in the Silver Spring Parade each year.
